Multi- Award winning and the 2021 VGMA Artiste Diana Hamilton announces the release of her latest single, ‘The Name of Jesus’. This is the first release after her very successful ‘Awake experience with Diana Hamilton’ concerts held in Accra and Kumasi in February. The single was released on the 6th of May 2022 on all stores with an accompanying video on YouTube released on the same day.
The announcement came after she released her date for DH Experience in London which is scheduled to take place on the 24th of September 2022
As with Diana’s music, the new song is filled with scripture and messages of encouragement and inspiration. The reliance on the name of Jesus and its efficacy is shared with the listener throughout the song and reminds the listener that there is power in the name of Jesus
The song is written by Diana Hamilton, arranged with her band PL Crew and post-produced by Diana’s long standing producer David Kyei (Kaywa) who has also produced hit songs like Mo Ne Yo, W’asem, Work in Progress and Awurade Ye with Diana
The song ‘The name of Jesus’ is a catchy praise song that will feel at home in every church’s Praise and worship selection as well as enjoyed personally and has a jubilant feel about it. Diana’s Afro praise influences is woven throughout the song and this is coupled with her love for live instrumentation.
